  • Christmas in Australia

    At Christmastime the people from Australia celabrate "Santa Babara". You get candys in your shoe, if you have been a girl or boy. If you have been bad, you get rocks in your shoes. Durring the Chritmas night (between 24th and 25th december) the Santa Claus bring presents to the children. At the next morning the kids open their presents quickly. After that they went to the beach.
    There they
    ->meet friends and drink champagne or Australien wine with them
    ->play volleyball
    ->get a suntan
    ->singing Christmas songs, playing guitar
    ->dressed up like Santa Claus and walking along the beach
    Christmastime is friendly time to meet the family and friends.
    But in Australia live many people from different coutries and they celebrate it on their own way. What we have wriiten about Christmas is just an example how to celebrate Christmas.

  • Christmas in Ireland

    Christmas in Ireland is like Christmas in Germany.
    At Example:
    - there isn´t Snow, just Rain
    - they´ve got Christmas Trees like ours
    - the young Children ask Father Christmas for their Presents
    - Father Christmas bring the Gifts just to the good Children ( ;) )
    - they all go to the Christmas Mass (and the Mass is like the Mass in Germany (They hear something about
    Jesus and his Birthday and something other like this))
    - on the Christmas Day the Families do something together
    But there are many Differents:
    - their Holidays begin on the 8th December (there is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception)
    - Christmas is there on two Days (first Day: [Eve] Father Christmas bring the Presents; second Day:
    [Morning] open gifts, have good Irish Breakfast (of: Boiled Ham, Bread, Tea), go to Mass; [Afternoon] do
    something with their Families (much People emigrate, so Christmas is the only Time they all get
    together))
    - the Day after Christmas is the St Stephens Day (but maybe that´s something like "heilige drei Könige"
    and Halloween in Germany together)
    So you all see Christmas in Ireland is more LIKE than UNLIKE Christmas in Germany.
